The idea for the Puffin grew directly from my own experience as a parent of two young children. Like many families, we reached the stage where our eldest wanted more independence, but we needed a way to stay connected while they took their first steps of freedom. The available options felt like a compromise. Smartphones are simply too open and too risky for kids.
I realised there was a clear gap for a device that prioritises safety, simplicity, and privacy while allowing parents to safely supervise. That's why we're building Puffin & PuffinGuard.
